The Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Preparedness and Assessment Program (OHCAPA) is a 160-clock-hour training course designed to prepare aspiring home care administrators for leadership roles in Oklahoma’s home health industry. This comprehensive course ensures students are fully equipped to manage home care agencies, meet state and federal compliance standards, and pass the official OHCAPA State Certification Examination.

Upon passing the exam, graduates are eligible to apply for their Home Care Administrator License through the Oklahoma State Department of Health Home Care Administrator Registry.

• Length: 9 Weeks

• Class Days: Monday to Friday

• Class Time: 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM

• Externship: Week 9, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

OHCAPA Weekend Program

• Length: 9 Weekends

• Class Days: Saturday & Sunday

• Class Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Externship: Week after the 8th Weekend, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

OHCAPA Online Hybrid Flex (Self-paced)

• Length: 5 Weeks

• Online Access: 8:00 AM – 11:59 PM

• Must be at least 18 years old

• High School Diploma, GED, or higher

• Government-issued Photo ID

• Social Security Card

• Criminal Background Check ($35 at MedNoc)

Recommended but not required:

• TB Skin Test ($35)

• BLS Certification ($60)

• Drug Test ($50)

• Flu Shot (during flu season)

Time Limit: 90 minutes
Passing Score: 70%
Attempts Allowed: 3
Cost (first attempt): $100.00

After passing, students can apply for their Oklahoma Home Care Administrator Certificate through OSDH. Applications must be submitted within 6 months of passing to avoid repeating the training.
