Immunization Requirements

Covid-19 Immunization Policy:

MedNoc Training College does not mandate COVID-19 vaccination for students or employees. However, if a student’s program includes clinical attendance and the clinical site requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination, the student must ensure they meet this requirement to participate in scheduled clinical training. The college will not waive its COVID-19 vaccine policy or masking requirement if mandated by the clinical site.

COVID-19 Exposure Return to School Policy:

If students test positive for COVID-19 while attending school, they may be required to quarantine according to current CDC guidelines and can return based on CDC guidelines.

Mask Wearing Policy:

MedNoc Training College does not mandate mask-wearing for students or employees. However, some clinical sites may enforce mask-wearing requirements due Covid-19 or other disease outbreaks such as flu. Regardless of vaccination status, students and employees can wear masks while on campus at MedNoc Training College if they choose to do so.

TB Screening:

MedNoc Training College requires a negative TB skin screen test conducted within the last thirty (30) days from the student’s start date for clinical attendance. MTC conducts TB skin screen tests for $35.00. Students must present negative TB test results before participating in clinical activities. Students with a positive TB skin screen test must provide a negative chest X-ray, with results interpreted by a physician. MTC accepts chest X-rays conducted within the last six months from the start of clinical. Students failing to submit proof of a negative TB test will not be permitted to attend clinical sessions.

Flu Shot:

Students enrolled in a program with clinical components may be required to show proof of a flu shot during flu season. This requirement is determined by clinical site. If a student prefers not to meet this requirement for a specific clinical facility, the student might experience delay to complete their program because they have to find a different clinical site that does not require flu vaccine. Students without a flu shot may be required to always wear a mask at the clinical site. Additionally, these students must sign a waiver acknowledging their choice not to receive a flu vaccine and agree to wear a mask as required at the clinical site. Students opting to wear masks must provide their own masks at personal expense, which is not included in the program’s total cost. Specific programs may require additional immunization records before students can attend clinicals. During enrollment, students should inquire about immunization requirements with the Admissions and Registration Office.

Immunization:

Even though not all clinical facilities require all the immunizations listed below, it is important to inquire with the school what immunizations might be required to attend clinical rotations. No immunizations required for any program that does not have clinical component.  Some Academic Programs such as CNA, and CMA does not require proof of immunization record.
